The Jupiter Hammerheads defeated the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 12-5. Doing his part was designated hitter Juan Camacho, who went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Steve Cole, who is tied for 10th in the FSL in wins with 4, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 3.2 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. Jupiter goes to 30-18. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.

The Hammerheads benefited from an error in the bottom of the first inning. Jupiter was leading 1-0 when Robby Márquez hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Jupiter in front, 3-0.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Jupiter manager Mike Mordecai.
