Flying Tigers Win Nail-Biter in 15
Lakeland beat Dunedin in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Lakeland Flying Tigers scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Dunedin Blue Jays at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Lakeland pitcher Filip Pauw held his own in the contest. Lakeland reliever Jeff Smith snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Joe Stroud shouldered the loss. Jim Bentley got credit for the save for Lakeland. It was his 1st of the year.

Garry Bishop came through with a big-time hit for Lakeland. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Pauw told a Lakeland Today reporter that he felt "euphoric" after the win.

Lakeland has an impressive 34-16 record.
