Dunedin Blue Jays starter Joel Vallance had all his pitches working at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 11-2 Dunedin win over the Daytona Tortugas. With the win, Dunedin upped its record to 27-25.

José López went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Dunedin. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Doug Hayes. It was his 60th hit of the season.

"The Blue Jays definitely had our number," said Daytona manager Tracy McGrady.
