Tampa designated hitter Ismael Romo had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 5-3. The win was credited to Joe Ward in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Clemente Piccinini took the loss. Tampa is now 25-27, Lakeland 36-17.

With Tampa trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Romo hit a sinker from Clemente Piccinini for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 3-2.

"It was a good effort all around," said Romo.
