The St. Lucie Mets walked off with a big win.

The performance of Juan Rodríguez proved critical in helping St. Lucie beat Charlotte, 8-7, in 11 innings. The Mets center fielder hit 2 home runs. St. Lucie reliever Chris Bacon picked up the win, while Josh Cox took the loss for Charlotte.

In the bottom of the 11th, Alan Lucas knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Charlotte pitcher Guadalupe Chavez.

"This team has the heart of a lion," said Mets manager Jorge Hernandez.

With the win over Charlotte, the Mets improved to 33-21.
