Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Bradenton Marauders and Jupiter Hammerheads.
The Bradenton Marauders weathered an outstanding game by Jupiter left fielder Steve Lee to topple the Hammerheads, 4-3. Lee went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winning pitcher was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Villanueva. He tossed 91 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits.
Tony Peña, who is tied for 3rd in the FSL in doubles with 17, had a direct impact on the outcome. Peña contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Bradenton up, 3-2.
In postgame comments to the Bradenton News, Peña said, "Our goal is to stack wins."
The loss makes Jupiter 27-27.
