Stone Crabs Pin 8-6 Loss on Fort Myers

The Charlotte Stone Crabs defeated the Fort Myers Miracle, 8-6. Center Fielder Tim Rice deserved a large share of the credit. Rice went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 times for the Stone Crabs. Joe Bodenham earned the save for Charlotte, his 2nd of the year. The loss makes Fort Myers 28-32.
Sergio Rico, the Charlotte second baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 8-6, Stone Crabs. For the game, Rico was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Rico.
