Palm Beach picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, bumping off the Daytona Tortugas, 6-1. Pitcher Cristo Morales was a major reason the Cardinals emerged victorious. The Tortugas, now 28-32, have lost 7 in a row.

Morales made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 7.2 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The Palm Beach right-hander encountered little resistance from the Daytona hitters. His season record is now 2-2.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Cardinals manager Orlando López, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
