Threshers Hand Mets 3-2 Loss
|
Tradition Field was the site of a tense game between the St. Lucie Mets and Clearwater Threshers.
Colt Peters could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his St. Lucie Mets lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Clearwater Threshers at Tradition Field. Dan Davis earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. Jeremy Jackson earned the save for Clearwater, his 5th.
Greg Dunlap, who is tied for 9th in the FSL with a .317 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dunlap contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put Clearwater up, 3-0.
"Winning never gets dull," said Dunlap.
With the win, Clearwater raised its record to 34-30.
