Manatees Handle Tampa, Snag 4-1 Win

The Brevard County Manatees beat the Tampa Yankees by a score of 4-1. Brevard County shortstop Raúl Alarcon deserved the lion's share of the credit. Alarcon went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times for the Manatees. The 5th-place Yankees have dropped 4 straight games.
Alfredo Fernández went 1-5 for Brevard County. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jesús Bartolo. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"I like what I saw today," said Brevard County manager Jeremy Hernandez, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
