Jupiter Sends Palm Beach Packing with 13-7 Loss
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Roger Dean Stadium.

The 13-7 Jupiter win over Palm Beach was due in large part to Mario Blanca. The Hammerheads third baseman went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Steve Russell picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-5 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 3 runs.

With Jupiter leading 10-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Blanca came up to bat against Palm Beach pitcher Brad Brooks. Blanca hit a fastball to right-center for a bases-clearing double. His 13th double of the season put the Hammerheads on top, 13-4.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Jupiter manager Mike Mordecai. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."

Jupiter is now 32-41, while Palm Beach is 29-44.
