Despite a fine performance by center fielder Billy Sargent, the Jupiter Hammerheads lost to the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 9-5. Sargent was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Manny Fernández. He tossed 121 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 12 hits. The Stone Crabs bumped their record to 41-35 with this latest triumph.

Eric Faulkner, who is tied for 10th in the FSL with a .393 on-base percentage, helped out the Charlotte cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
