Hammerheads Turn Back Charlotte, 3-2

Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Jupiter Hammerheads and Charlotte Stone Crabs.
Jeremy Fox pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Charlotte Stone Crabs, despite Fox's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Jupiter Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium. Tony López was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Jupiter first baseman Walt Jones contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Hammerheads ahead, 3-0.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Brad Salmon.
With this game in the books, Jupiter is 38-44, Charlotte 43-39.
