Lakeland played host to Daytona at Joker Marchant Stadium.

Lakeland pitcher Kevin Scott had a large part in his team beating the Daytona Tortugas, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Flying Tigers.

The Flying Tigers got a clutch hit from center fielder Gene Wonnacott. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Flying Tigers.

"What an ending!" said a jubilant Wonnacott.
