Blue Jays Keep Streak Alive With 5-2 Win
|
The winning streak continued for Dunedin.
The Dunedin Blue Jays cut down the St. Lucie Mets by the score of 5-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Jim Morgan. Morgan went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blue Jays. Ron Waters finished to wrap up his 10th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Dunedin, had it not been for Chuck King, the 25-year old first baseman . King contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Dunedin up, 2-0.
"We've done a good job of late stacking success," King told the Dunedin Chronicle.
The Blue Jays, now 48-38, have won 10 in a row.
