The Dunedin Blue Jays knocked off the St. Lucie Mets, 5-3, in Florida State League action at Tradition Field. Dunedin pitcher and Syracuse, New York, native Joel Vallance had an outstanding performance. Ron Waters recorded the save, making him 11 for 15. The Blue Jays, now 49-38, have won 11 in a row.

Dunedin used the timely hitting of Dave Henley to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Blue Jays manager Jose Mejia, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
