Threshers Pocket 8-5 Win Against Daytona
|
The Clearwater Threshers picked up a win at Bright House Field, knocking off the Daytona Tortugas, 8-5. Starting pitcher José López played a key role in the triumph. Picking up the save was Daniel Brunt. He's now 11 for 12 in save chances. Clearwater is now 35-54, while Daytona is 49-40.
Walt Blair, who is tied for 7th in the FSL in RBI with 48, chipped in a 2-run single for Clearwater in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
