Mencío Hits 2 home runs in Stone Crabs Win
The Charlotte Stone Crabs beat the Fort Myers Miracle, 9-0, at Charlotte Sports Park. Charlotte shortstop Jesús Mencío had the hot bat. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Juan Rodríguez earned the win, while 21-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Edwards took the loss for Fort Myers. The loss makes Fort Myers 41-56.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Stone Crabs grabbed the lead when Mencío hit his 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Tim Edwards made it 3-0, Charlotte.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Charlotte manager Brad Salmon. "Our pregame was pretty good."
