Marauders Solve Fort Myers in Extra Innings
The Bradenton Marauders cut down the Fort Myers Miracle by the score of 7-4 in 10 innings. Much of the credit went to first baseman Bob Bishop. Bishop went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Marauders. Bradenton reliever Steve Russell picked up the win. Tim Hayes, who is tied for 4th in the FSL in saves with 21, took the loss for Fort Myers. The win boosted Bradenton to 55-48.

Bradenton used a timely hit from Von Wheeler to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Marauders ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Bishop. "But we got it done."
