In a low-scoring affair between the St. Lucie Mets and the Jupiter Hammerheads, pitcher Dominic Crow was the difference between victory and defeat. The St. Lucie right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Mets win. Steve Randolph picked up the win in relief for St. Lucie, while Steve Cole took the loss. With the win, St. Lucie raised its record to 57-47.
Don Spencer was the walk-off hero for St. Lucie. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mets left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Spencer said.
