The Jupiter Hammerheads overcame a pretty good performance by Lakeland designated hitter Jesús Ríos, beating the Flying Tigers, 5-4, at Roger Dean Stadium. Ríos went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Jupiter reliever Merlin Mullins got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Enzo Garin was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Jupiter sits at 56-59; Lakeland slips to 76-39.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Flying Tigers allowed the Hammerheads to score the winning run.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Williams.
