Flying Tigers Earn 5-4 Win Versus Threshers
The Flying Tigers earned a hard-fought, 5-4 win in 11 innings at Joker Marchant Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Clearwater pitcher Sigfrid Naegeli. Naegeli went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Lakeland has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Lakeland designated hitter Jesús Ruíz, facing José Castro, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Flying Tigers the 5-4 win.

Lakeland manager Donald Lutz praised his team's "energy."
