Jacobs Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Daytona
The Daytona Tortugas overcame a good performance by Lakeland designated hitter Chris Jacobs to knock off Lakeland, 20-14, at Joker Marchant Stadium. Jacobs was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Ernie Thompson, who is tied for 10th in the FSL in holds with 6, earned the win in relief.
