Flying Tigers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Tampa, 3-1
The Lakeland Flying Tigers had to overcome a good performance from Tampa pitcher Luis Fuentes to claim a 3-1 win at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Fuentes went 6 innings and allowed no runs. With the win over Tampa, the Flying Tigers improved to 84-45.

Sergio Jara delivered a big hit for Lakeland. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flying Tigers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Jara.
