Flying Tigers Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
The Lakeland Flying Tigers topped the St. Lucie Mets, 1-0, in Florida State League action at Joker Marchant Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Lakeland pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native José Cabral. Eric Green converted his 1st save in 2 tries. The FSL North-leading Flying Tigers are 90-45.

The Flying Tigers got a big at-bat from second baseman Mauro Castro. For the game, Castro went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Lakeland a 1-0 lead.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Cabral.
