Bowling Green Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Bowling Green Hot Rods.

West Michigan beat Bowling Green at Bowling Green Ballpark, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to third baseman Bob Lewis. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The victory makes West Michigan 9-4, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2026.

West Michigan used a timely hit from José Ramírez to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Whitecaps ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Ramírez. "You've got to get results."
