The Bowling Green Hot Rods knocked off the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 4-3, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. Bowling Green pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native José Quiñones had an outstanding performance. Edwin Hinkle earned the save for Bowling Green, his 2nd. Fort Wayne, now 2-16, continues its tough start.

Bowling Green used a well-timed hit by Greg Lewis to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hot Rods ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We did enough to win," said Lewis.
