The Bowling Green Hot Rods knocked off the South Bend Cubs, 6-5, in Midwest League action at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. Bowling Green pitcher and Colorado Springs, Colorado, native Ken Horn had an outstanding performance. Edwin Hinkle earned the save for Bowling Green, his 7th. Bowling Green is now 19-19, while South Bend is 19-19.
