The home crowd had a good time watching the Fort Wayne TinCaps and Bowling Green Hot Rods get after it.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 11-2. Second Baseman José Lugo deserved a large share of the credit. Lugo went 4-4 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Hot Rods. Bowling Green reliever Rob Klein picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jerry Martin was saddled with the loss.

Bowling Green took the lead, 5-1, on Chris Hill's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Fort Wayne pitcher Jerry Martin in the bottom of the seventh.

"It never gets old," said Hill. "Winning, that is."

The loss makes Fort Wayne 9-32.
