Great Lakes beat Bowling Green at Dow Diamond, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Jerry Peters. He went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. With the win, the Loons have a record of 25-24.

Great Lakes second baseman José Vilas helped the Loons go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Vilas hit a run-scoring single off Bowling Green pitcher Rob Klein.

"It feels good to get this one," Peters told the Great Lakes Daily News.
