Bowling Green Wins, Madrigal drives in 3 runs
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Bowling Green Hot Rods and Great Lakes Loons came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods cut down the Great Lakes Loons by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Juan Madrigal. Madrigal went 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Hot Rods. Eddie Franklin came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The save went to Jake Canavan, number 1 for him.

Madrigal had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the eighth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Hot Rods went on to win.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Madrigal told the Bowling Green Bulletin.

The win lifted the Bowling Green record to 29-21.
