Bowling Green's Jones Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Chris Jones. Jones went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Lansing pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Cooley Law School Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Bowling Green Hot Rods had a win, 6-0, over the Lugnuts.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Chris Jones singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Kade Franklin in the 9th.
Currently Jones is batting .404 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs.
