The Bowling Green Hot Rods downed the South Bend Cubs, 9-3, the largest share of the credit belonging to shortstop Tommy Miller. On the day, Miller went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Hot Rods. The victory gives Bowling Green a record of 29-27.
