Hot Rods Send Lansing Home with 6-3 Loss
Lansing first baseman Mike Nicholas had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-3, to Bowling Green at Cooley Law School Stadium. Nicholas was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belonged to Wally Snider in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ken Jenkins took the loss for Lansing. The victory gives Bowling Green a record of 34-32.

Bowling Green used a timely hit from Jendrzej Geremek to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hot Rods ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Geremek.
