Thompson Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Sunday, August 9th , 2026 Terence Thompson continued his streak at Zephyr Field, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The New Orleans first baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Zephyrs were not as fortunate, losing, 8-4, to the Fresno Grizzlies. "Thompson was hitting everything we threw at him," said Fresno manager Alex Gordon. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Terence Thompson doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year, Thompson has hit at a .353 pace and produced 37 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 48 runs. |
