Early Season End for Freedman
Thursday, July 3rd , 2025
Josh Freedman has to call it a season. The Inland Empire 66ers starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 07/01/2025 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9 months.
The team will likely place Freedman on the injured list today.
Thus far this season, Freedman has posted a 1-2 record, started 5 games, struck out 21 batters in 23.2 innings and compiled a 4.56 ERA.
