Lake Elsinore Halts Ferguson's Hitting Steak Monday, June 29th , 2026 Inland Empire 66ers second baseman Charlie Ferguson finally met his Waterloo. A 24-game hitting spree is now history after Ferguson was unable to make anything happen in 5 at-bats today against the Lake Elsinore Storm. Fortunately for Ferguson and the 66ers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 8-0. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 24 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." In the 2026 season Ferguson is hitting .314 with 3 home runs. |
