Hines 5-for-6 Against Modesto Friday, August 28th , 2026 Dan Hines had an answer for everything the Modesto Nuts threw at him at John Thurman Field. The Stockton center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Ports a win, 9-5. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Hines said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Dan Hines tripled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
