Top FSL Reliever Honored
Saturday, October 4th , 2025
At the age of 25, Dan Collins says he still has a lot to learn about life in Florida State League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Charlotte Stone Crabs reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2025 Florida State League Reliever of the Year.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the North Kingstown, Rhode Island native said.
For the season, Collins had 6 saves in 46 relief appearances, which totaled 75. He fanned 77 betters, while walking 31 and put up a record of 10-3 to go with his 2.52 ERA.
He received 2 first place votes out of a possible 12. Chuck Parsons of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while José Cervantes of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished third with 4 first place votes.
