Thursday, May 21st , 2026
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Pete Anderson of the Fort Myers Miracle had one of those moments when he went 5-for-7 at the plate in his team's 7-3 win over the Brevard County Manatees at Space Coast Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old catcher told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Pete Anderson singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, flied out in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit a solo-shot off Jeff Arrington in the 15th.
This season, Anderson is batting .277 with 9 RBIs, 12 runs scored and 1 home run.
