St. Lucie-Dunedin Brawl, Simons and Pagán Suspended Monday, June 22nd , 2026 Shawn Simons of the St. Lucie Mets and Jerry Pagán of the Dunedin Blue Jays will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Mets-Blue Jays game at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Simons and Pagán will begin serving them soon. In 48 games this year, Simons has posted a .298 average and put up these numbers: 1 home run, 22 RBIs and 21 runs scored. So far this year, Pagán has made 15 starts, tossed 81 innings, struck out 49 batters and walked 31. His record is 5-4 with a 4.11 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .271 batting average. |
