Rico Takes FSL's Best Bat Award Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 Sergio Rico made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Florida State League this past month. The Charlotte Stone Crabs shortstop shined through the month of June and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old hit .359 with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. This year, Rico is hitting .300 with 9 home runs and 39 RBIs in 70 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .372 with 27 walks and 33 runs scored. |
