Boyd Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, July 10th , 2026 Alex Boyd's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The St. Lucie catcher smacked 1 hit against the Dunedin Blue Jays in today's game at Tradition Field, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Mets drop the game, 7-0. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Alex Boyd grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. In 37 games this season, Boyd is batting .364 with 51 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 15 runs and driven in 29. |
