Nelson Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Friday, August 7th , 2026 Billy Nelson of the Tampa Yankees tagged 1 hit in today's 7-1 loss to the Lakeland Flying Tigers at George M. Steinbrenner Field to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Billy Nelson flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. Nelson is currently hitting at a .301 pace with 4 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
