Red-Hot Saro Cools Off Lake County Tuesday, April 14th , 2026 The Lake County Captains manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the South Bend Cubs. The Captains were overpowered by South Bend starter Rinaldo Saro, who hurled his club to victory, 12-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Chris Dwyer said. Over 9 innings, Saro blanked Lake County on 2 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Saro said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." View Boxscore |
