Ortíz Sends Fort Wayne Bats to Deep Freeze Friday, April 17th , 2026 The Fort Wayne TinCaps manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Great Lakes Loons. The TinCaps were overpowered by Great Lakes starter Juan Ortíz, who hurled his club to victory, 4-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Yunir Garcia said. Over 9 innings, Ortíz blanked Fort Wayne on 3 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off.
