López Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Thursday, May 21st , 2026 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Juan López did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Bowling Green Hot Rods beat the South Bend Cubs, 3-1. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," López told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Bowling Green clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Juan López grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Currently López is batting .383 with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
