Henry Smacks 5 Hits for Whitecaps Sunday, June 7th , 2026 Rusty Henry was at the head of a West Michigan hit parade at Fifth Third Ballpark. The right fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Whitecaps to a nice 16-3 victory over the Bowling Green Hot Rods. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Henry told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Hot Rods skipper James Hoyt said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Rusty Henry doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Eric Rogers in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
