Wednesday, October 7th , 2026
The future looks extremely bright for Phil Lind. At the age of 26, many players are still trying to find their way in Midwest League.

Lind has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Midwest League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .359 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The South Bend Cubs star also put up a .419 on-base percentage this year, with 172 hits, 24 doubles, 7 triples, 15 home runs, 94 RBIs and 74 runs scored.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 16. Juan Zapata of the Beloit Snappers finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Chris Jones of the Bowling Green Hot Rods finished third with 2 first place votes.
