Ortíz Shuts Out West Virginia, 5-0 Tuesday, April 14th , 2026 José Ortíz kept the West Virginia Power hitters from doing much damage at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia could only muster 7 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Ortíz, who controlled them throughout the game. Lakewood won the contest, 5-0. Ortíz added 8 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Ortíz told reporters after the shutout win.
